Amounts use the currency of your inputs. This estimates costs, not provider suitability or a guaranteed saving.
Start with an inventory.
List each video, its duration, source availability, website placements, captions and privacy needs. An ID can appear on several pages, so review duplicates before removing them.
Download inventory templateUse yes, no or unknown for availability fields. Remove the example row before using the template. Do not include passwords, signed URLs or personal information.
Total duration counts each unique video once. Storage in GB cannot be reliably converted to minutes without the actual durations or bitrates. Delivered minutes may include buffering and preloading; check each quote's billing definition.

02 Test the player
Check captions, posters, chapters, privacy and authentication with sample content. A domain restriction is not viewer authentication.
03 Map every placement
Record each old video ID, new ID, affected page and original embed. Keep the rollback map.
04 Verify playback
Check desktop and mobile, seeking, audio, captions and required access restrictions. Record exceptions instead of hiding them.
05 Get acceptance
Have the site owner approve the production checks and outstanding exceptions. Confirm a rollback owner and trigger.
06 Close the old service
Cancel only after verified cutover and acceptance. Keep original backups, the migration map and billing records.
